Is the Museum of Modern Art free?
The Museum of Modern Art provides free admission every Friday night from 5:30 pm – 9 pm. Your free ticket gives you access to all the museum galleries and special exhibitions. Film screenings are also free, but you will need a separate ticket. Note that you cannot get these tickets in advance and must wait in line.
Do you need to buy tickets in advance for MoMA?
MoMA members receive priority access, subject to capacity restrictions, and do not need to book in advance. An allocation of timed tickets is reserved for members each hour; guest privileges apply. If you wish to pay less than the general admission ticket prices, you may purchase your ticket at one of The Met’s locations with a valid ID. We suggest the following general admission ticket prices: $25 for adults, $17 for seniors, and $12 for students, but you may pay what you wish.
